Katie Denham is the Principal Designer and Founder of Katie Denham Interiors. Born and raised in Pasadena, California in a Prairie Style house designed by a student of Frank Lloyd Wright, Katie Denham was exposed every day to the rich and diverse architectural history of Southern California.
Katie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and went on to add a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Interior Design from the Design Institute of San Diego. With over 20 years of Interior Design experience, Katie has completed creatively driven commercial, restaurant and residential projects, earning numerous ASID design awards and media mentions. The Katie Denham Interiors team prides itself on customer service and close coordination with architects, subcontractors and tradesmen to ensure a seamless design project execution with the main goal to consistently exceed clients’ expectations.
Katie has built a loyal following for her fresh approach to classic design. “Relaxed sophistication with a sense of humor” is how Katie’s work has been described. Katie believes spaces should be functional, but also personal, fun and provide joy, otherwise it is a waste of space.
Katie now resides in California’s State Capital, Sacramento with her husband, two daughters, and a pair of Australian Shepherds, Cooper and Nullah. In her spare time, Katie authors her design and lifestyle blog, katiedid, hunts for antiques and great art, cooks up a storm, gardens and travels for design inspiration.
